Each year, as the holiday season rolls around, the SMW team gets together and spends time thinking about creative and thoughtful gifts for all the people in our network – clients, colleagues, vendors, and others – who make a positive impact on us throughout the year. We try to make this annual gift something that’s useful and reflective of our appreciation.
What did we come up with this year? Something a little different.
In lieu of a gift we send individually, we are making a donation on behalf of our community. As the recipient of this gift, we have selected World Central Kitchen (WCK), a well-regarded nonprofit that provides food relief in challenged areas around the globe. WCK is known for being first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.
Directed to WCK’s general relief fund, the SMW gift will give WCK the flexibility and resources to respond to disasters around the world including hurricanes, wildfires, and community crises.
